About the event

Have you ever stared at a blank screen on your laptop and wondered what on earth to write? Or do you worry whether what you’ve written is any good at all? We’ve all been there!

This workshop will help you professionalise your writing by overcoming obstacles, such as writer’s block or a lack of confidence, by using lateral thinking and key concepts from creative writing practises. We will also look at how to get into a ‘flow' state to help you write more effectively and efficiently.

By the end of the workshop, you should be better able to:

  • Overcome obstacles to writing.
  • Grow in confidence in your own ability to plan and write.
  • Establish a sense of flow in your work.

Dr Sanjida O’Connell has a PhD in psychology and has been a professionally published author and journalist for over thirty years.
